Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to support students in a school-based setting in Montebello, CA for the 2026-2027 school year. This role offers opportunities to work in 1:1 student care and health office environments, making it ideal for LVNs who enjoy working with children and want a consistent daytime schedule.
Position Overview
As a School-Based LVN, you will provide 1:1 direct care and/or support within the school health office, ensuring students receive the medical care they need to safely participate in their education. You'll be part of a collaborative team focused on student health, safety, and success.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 nursing care to assigned students throughout the school day

Support students within the health office and school setting as needed

Perform skilled nursing tasks, including:

G-tube care
-
Tracheostomy care
-
Seizure monitoring
-
Diabetes management
-
Assist students with developmental and medical needs

Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation

Communicate effectively with school staff, families, and the Amergis team
Qualifications

Active California LVN license
-
Current BLS certification
-
Experience or comfort working in a school setting or pediatric environment

Reliable, patient, and adaptable
-
School-based or pediatric experience preferred (training provided)
